About
Welcome to “Discover the French Riviera” – I hope you’ll enjoy looking around and sharing the adventure with me!
Discover the French Riviera the way it should be discovered – through the daily adventures of someone who lives here.
Why settle for one of those boring Websites where you’ll find more advertisements than information? If you want to discover the real French Riviera, you’ve come to the right place! Feel free to get comfortable, grab a snack or your favorite beverage, and take a look around…I think you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for! (And if not, feel free to leave me a comment, or ask a question – and I’ll do my best to answer you!)
What’s it REALLY Like to live on the French Riviera?
Imagine living in a place where you’re 10 minutes away from the Mediterranean Sea…Where most of the time, the only thing in your freezer are ice cubes, because you buy fresh delicious fruits and vegetables from an open-air market, get your meat straight from the butcher and buy your fish from the fishmonger…Where you walk on roads where Julius Caesar and his Roman army once marched, where you can visit churches built in the 4th century and abbeys built in 12th, and history isn’t something you only read about in a book – it’s real, and alive and you can touch it and feel it…
Picture yourself waking up in the morning to sunshine 309 days a year…enjoying a cup of tea and a croissant (still piping hot from the corner bakery) in bed while you glance through the morning paper, listening to the distant music of the city as it wakes up and prepares for its day…and enjoying the decadence of being able to snuggle back under the covers for a while longer, because your commute is a 20 second walk…
See what it’s like to visit some of the most famous cities on the French Riviera…Saint Tropez, Nice, Cannes and Marseille. Enjoy visiting museums where you can see the paintings of Chagall, Manet, Van Gogh and Picasso…Walk along white sandy beaches, visit the port where brightly painted wooden fishing boats rock gently next to streamlined super-yachts and the rich and famous come to play…
There are so many wonderful places to visit and things to do and I’d like to share all of it with you – so I hope you’ll come along for the ride!
