Time for the Chestnut Festivals in the French Riviera (Yay!)

The hills are covered with a crazy quilt of autumn colors and across the valley you can see little pockets of smoke rising in lazy tendrils and stroking the velvet-looking patches of vineyards. The smoke could be from fireplaces being lit, to celebrate the coming of fall – but chances are, it’s people who are roasting chestnuts over open fires…Fall on the French Riviera is celebrated by Chestnut season, and the coming of the chestnut festivals that spring up in the little hilltop villages…
